Wycliffe offers training in a variety of skills, vocational areas and personal growth to equip people for the work God has called them to do. No one comes with the complete package. Instead, we’re all life-long learners.

On the other hand, Wycliffe doesn’t offer every type of training. Your own educational and vocational requirements will depend on the job you want to do. For many, that begins with a bachelor’s degree. For some positions, experience in a particular vocation might be required.
Information Technology
Training classes and materials are offered for language software and business applications, as well as orientation for computer support workers. IT training from JAARS speeds Bible translation.

Leadership Development
Training is offered to Wycliffe staff to develop leadership skills and to develop a personal work plan for those interested in leadership in the organization.

Translation/Language-related
Academic training for applied linguistics and Bible translation is offered through several partnering schools in North America and around the world. Training encompasses the disciplines of linguistics, literacy and translation. Find out more about our academic partnerships.

Vernacular Media Services
Training is offered to equip personnel to produce high-quality media tools in local vernacular, for use in language communities. This includes production of audio-cassettes, radio programs and audio sound tracks for video. Check out information from JAARS about vernacular media training.
